Once this upcoming 2013-14 NBA season is over, so is Carmelo Anthony’s contractual obligation to the New York Knicks. At which point, Carmelo will have a very tough decision to make. Will he stand tall and weather the storm with his newly re-energized Knickerbockers or opt out and join a new team, perhaps the Los Angeles Lakers playing alongside his good friend Kobe Bryant? Outside of maybe his wife, no one truly knows what Anthony plans to do, but if his recent comments are any indication of his future plans, then Spike Lee & Co. should have nothing to worry about.
