Yesterday afternoon, TMZ reported on the unexpected passing of actor Lee Thompson Young, who was famous for his roles as The Famous Jett Jackson and Chris Corner in the popular film Friday Night Lights. Shortly after his death, reports began to circulate speculating that Young’s passing was an apparent suicide. However, I’m having a hard time believing that theory since authorities reported that Young did not leave a suicide note.
The news of Young’s death broke on Monday, when authorities found the 29-year-old’s body in his North Hollywood apartment. It appeared that Young intentionally shot himself. Sources are saying that Young did have a diary, but nothing he wrote reveals why he decided to take his own life.
Prior to his untimely passing, Young was starring in the TNT drama Rizzoli & Isles. Following this recent incident, the show temporarily stopped production out of respect.
My prayers and condolences go out to the entire Young family.
