Rap superstar Nicki Minaj was scheduled to headline Hot 97′s Summer Jam concert at MetLife Stadium this past Sunday (June 3). But hours before she was supposed to hit the stage the “Starships” MC was pulled from the lineup by her Young Money boss, Lil Wayne, due to Hot 97 on-air personality Peter Rosenberg dissing her during the concert’s pre- festival lineup.

Peter Rosenberg, a morning show host, called Minaj’s “Starships” song “wack.”

This slight prompted Weezy to pull all Young Money acts ( with the exception of Tyga) from the concert.

“Young Money ain’t doing summer jam,” he tweeted.

And Minaj fell right in line and complied with her boss’ orders.

“I go above and beyond for my fans. But won’t ever go against wayne’s word. What he says, goes,” she tweeted.

Upon hearing of Young Money’s pullout, Rosenberg tweeted:

“Tonight just got interesting.”

Rosenberg’s Hot 97 colleague DJ Funkmaster Flex defended Rosenberg during the concert, taunting Minaj for her recent album sales.

“You don’t go gold. It’s all your fault,” he said. “I’m dedicated to tearing you down.”

Hmmm. Hot 97 Vs. Young Money. Yup, this one’s sure to heat up…QUICK.
