Weezy’s “Baby Money” line refers to Jay’s response to Birdman’s 2009 claim that Wayne made more money than Jay.

“Well I feel like, as far as number one to me, that don’t really matter, it’s about who makes the most money and do the most,” Baby explained in an interview. “I think my son do the most, rap the most, he do the most shows, we do the most so if we do the most, how could you be number one if you ain’t making the most? No, no, [beef]. Nothing personal, they just asked me my opinon and that was my opinion. I think we do the most and make the most, so if you don’t like it, that’s on you. I can’t see past Wayne, so I can’t see Jay-Z.” (“106 & Park”)

Later on Jay would respond in his song H.A.M. off Watch The Throne where he makes reference to Birdman’s claims, rapping:

I’m like really half a billi nigga/ really you got baby money/ Keep it real with niggas, Niggas aint got my lady money

Guess that last shot must of really bruised the YMCMB ego lol. Not to mention Jay was just named Hip Hop’s 2011 Cash King.

Can’t wait to see how the best rapper alive responds to this one.
