The musical phenom known across the globe as Adele has once again shattered another record.
Merely one week after Eminem’s “Recovery” album became the first album to sell 1 million digital downloads in the U.S., now according to Neilsen SoundScan, Adele’s multi-platinum selling “21″ has achieved the same milestone. Not to mention, “21″ goes further — as it surpasses “Recovery” to become the best-selling digital album of all-time!
According to Billboard,
“21,” which was released on Feb. 22, becomes the U.S.’ second million-selling digital album, the fastest set to do so, and the first by a woman to achieve the feat. With another 25,000 downloads sold of “21,” its digital sales now stand at a record-setting 1,017,000 while “Recovery’s” download tally is 1,005,000.
21″ continues to reign as the year’s best selling album overall, too, with 2.6 million copies sold in the U.S. It has spent 10 non-consecutive weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart and has yet to see a week where it has ranked lower than No. 3.

Adel’s Rolling in the Deep is a type of song that everybody should have on a cd shelf at home. Even if you are not her fan you should get it still because it is a masterpiece. Everything is perfectly composed here - the lyrics, the melody, the tempo, the sadness in Adele’s voice.
It is hard to believe that she is just 20 and something. She sounds much more mature here.
And she proved that you don’t have to be gaga to sell thousands of cds and have an intercontinental hit under ur belt!
