After weeks of speculation, Rick Ross’ highly sought after Maybach Music Group has finally found a new home. The self proclaimed “Bawse” has decided to bring his roster of talented artists over to Warner Bros. Records.
Before inking this new deal with Warner Bros., MMG was reportedly the subject of a bidding war between various competing labels including Cash Money, Jay-Z’s Rocnation, and Interscope Records. Ultimately the Miami rapper went with Warner.
Ross also maintains his solo deal with Def Jam and his fifth album God Forgives, I Don’t is scheduled to be released later this year.
Details on the exact terms of the new deal have yet to be announced, but is expected to include distribution, marketing, and promotion for artists Ross signs to his imprint.
What do you guys think? Was teaming up with Warner a good move? (You guys remember how dirty they did Wiz & Jae Millz right?)
