Radio host, Angela Yee, who has been holding down the morning slot on Shade 45 for nearly six years now, will make the move to broadcast radio when she replaces popular media personality Ed Lover as the host of New York’s Power 105.1′s “Morning Show“. Lover broke the news to the public via his Twitter page:

Thanks 4 all the love [about] my departure from Power105! I’m not done with radio….not by a long shot! C’mon Son!

And I’m not leaving radio in NYC….not if I can help it! Big things are on the horizon!

Joining Yee will be popular NYC DJ, DJ Envy, and Charlamagne Tha God (the former co-host of Wendy Williams‘ now defunct radio show). The new team will begin their new takeover in exactly two weeks.

What do you guys think about the forthcoming switch? At least Ed still has his “Come On Son” to fall back on. I’m pretty sure this isn’t the last we’ll see of Mr. Lover. That man’s a natural born hustler. Anybody that thinks otherwise, I only have three words for you…”Come On Son”!
