The ladies are sure to be pleased with today’s news that “Mr. I Invented Sex” will be embarking on a new chapter in his career, Chapter 5, the title of the R&B crooner’s new album which will be a follow-up to 2010′s Passion, Pain, Pleasure.

“I’m working on a new album entitled Chapter 5,” Songz told Glamazons.

However, don’t get too excited. Mr. Neverson’s new project won’t be available for the world to hear until 2012.

The singer (turned recent actor) wants to take some time out and try his hand at the big screen. He even managed to land a starring role in Hollywood’s upcoming horror flick, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, which is slated to hit theaters October 5, 2012.

New album AND a new film? Let me find out 2012 is shaping up to be the year of “Trigga”.

One source close to a few Columbia Records exec’s claims the label’s head honchos have been holding “quiet discussions” about reuniting the multi-platinum singing trio.

According to Page Six,

Columbia Records executives fear Beyoncé‘s new album, “4,” could be a dud after she refused to return to the studio to re-record new tracks, sources say.

“They’re very nervous about Beyoncé’s new record,” an industry insider told us. “It doesn’t have the hit songs that her fans are used to. They asked her to make changes, but she said no.”

Bracing for the worst, Columbia suits are strategizing in case of slower sales and have had “quiet discussions” about the reunion of Destiny’s Child.

“Beyoncé’s career has stalled a bit,” a source told us. “Columbia seems to think they can get some mileage out of a comeback record with all of the girls.” Another source tells us Destiny’s Child could start recording together as early as October, with a suggested album title “Family Reunion.”

Some may wonder how Kelly Rowland’s seemingly rising solo career would fit into the grand scheme of things. And according to the insider – - -it wouldn’t.

Kelly Rowland might not be eager to join forces again. Our source said, “She has her own solo career now, why would she want to be singing back up for Beyoncé?

Good point, but I can’t even front. Another DC album would definitely be a dope feat to see.  Wouldn’t you agree?

Check out the larger than life  Young Money CEO in the latest edition of XXL. In the new issue long time Hip Hop journalist Shaheem Reid chopped it up with the self proclaimed “greatest rapper alive” about his thought process going into this new album.

“What is good about me is that I’m an interesting muthafucka. I’m Dwayne Michael Carter period! Whether I’m a rapper or not, I’m interesting. And that’s what my album’s gonna be about: me and how interesting I am.”

The new issue hits newsstands on July 12th.

Last night Big Sean and Adidas held an hour long concert in New York City, celebrating the release of Big Sean’s new album Finally Famous.

During the show Big Sean performed some of his earlier works to his newest ones from the album, including “Marvin Gaye & Chardonnay” with Kanye West. During the beginning of the show Pusha T also came out and showed his G.O.O.D. family some support with his track “My God.” Another guest during the show was Chiddy Bang.- Rap Dose
