MTV’s Jim Cantiello recently caught up with Hip Hop’s resident martian to gauge his thoughts on Tha Carter IV leaking early.

“We did real good this time, real good,” Wayne told MTV News. “It just means people want to hear it,” he said. “I mean, ’cause there’re people’s albums that come out that can be leaked and don’t leak, so I’m glad mines leaked.”

This past Friday, Jay-Z’s former right hand man Damon Dash paid a visit to Shade 45′s Sway In The Morning show where the Rocafella co-founder opened up about his ongoing legal issues with the U.S. government who he owes more than $2 million dollars to in back taxes.

“They’re auditing me. When you’re a business man, you have a lot of businesses, a lot of times they think you’re laundering money or you’re pretending you’re writing things off that you don’t,” he continued. “I’m a true businessman. As you know, I believe in my independence, I have no partners, so every dollar I make goes right back into every business I have.”

MTV recently took it’s cameras down to the beautiful Miami home of pop crooner Sean Kingston where the big guy gave his first interview since his jet-ski accident this past May. Listen to Sean relive the tragic incident with Sway below.

They rushed me and they did a lot of scans on me, [and] they said I couldn’t leave. I’ve been in the house chilling, about to start work on my new album. I got L.A. Reid now as my new president. I got a story to tell now.”

The nominees for the 2011 MTV VMAs were announced this past Wednesday night by pop sensation Katy Perry, who leads the nominee pack with a whopping nine VMA nominations, including “Video of the Year” and “Best Female Video,” for her chart topping hit, “Firework.”

Perry also scored nominations for “Best Pop Video” for Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.), and “Best Special Effects” for “E.T.” which features fellow musical heavyweight Kanye West.

British born pop sensation Adele, who has the year’s biggest selling album to date with her critically acclaimed “21“, follows behind Perry with an impressive seven nominations for her hit single “Rolling In The Deep” – - – which ties her for second place with Kanye, who scored 7 nods of his own.  Nice!

MTV recently caught up with Lil Wayne and managed to get the Young Money Don to open up about all the retirement rumors floating around.

 “I’m not sure; I’m not gonna Brett Favre y’all…I’m not gonna draw it all the way out the whole year: ‘We wondering, is Wayne gonna do this?’

But the honest answer is I don’t know. I’m so settled in my life right now. I have my kids; they’re wonderful. My daughter has her career ahead of her now. I have to focus on that, and I have to put the same focus that I put in my career. … I want to become a better father, I want to become a better man to my woman, and those things take time. and time takes away from this. So the honest answer to that [retirement] question is, I don’t know. Maybe so.”

“I want to become a better man to my woman”. Did Wayne just let the cat out the bag in regards to a potential new love interest?
