The God MC took the Carnegie Hall stage for the first time last night for a star studded concert which was actually a fundraiser in support of his SC scholarship foundation. And thanks to the good folks over at MTV, us mere peasants get a chance to witness Hovito’s first ever performance of Glory, his beautiful ode to his new bundle of joy, Blue Ivy Carter.

Just one night after the Jiggaman celebrated the $10 million reopening of his popular 40/40 sports club, the NYC Health department has officially swooped in & shut the Manhattan hot spot down.

Jay-Z’s 40/40 Club was shut down for a slew of health-code violations just a day after its celebrity-drenched $10 million relaunch — and now it faces a dreaded “C” grade, The Post has learned.

An inspector found perishable food at dangerously warm temperatures inside the walk-in refrigerator and discovered “hot” food left out on the counter on Thursday, Health Department sources said.

A worker was also seen mixing salsa with his bare hands.

The refrigerator was at a rancid 60 degrees instead of 41 — jeopardizing the safety of 50 pounds of raw chicken wings, five pounds of raw shrimp and 100 turkey burgers, the sources said.

Five pounds of cooked mashed potatoes, meanwhile, were left out at a temperature of 89 degrees, while 10 pounds of cooked rice and 50 turkey burgers were kept at 67 degrees.

All the hot foods should be at least 140 degrees, the sources said.

The club’s restaurant was immediately closed, and new patrons were barred from entering. Those already inside were allowed to remain.

The nightspot corrected the problem and was cleared for business the next night.

However, problems could be looming for 40/40. The inspector gave the club 69 violation points, far in excess of the 28 needed for a worst-possible “C” grade, and they’ll be adjudicated at a hearing next month.

During its last inspection, in March, before the facelift, the club racked up 39 violation points for problems including improperly handled food and unsanitary conditions.

With her family’s song only a few days old, Blue Ivy Carter has officially become the youngest person ever to appear on a charted record.

Blue’s father, Jay Z, recorded ‘Glory’ which features his daughter, credited as, B.I.C., less than 48 hours after Blue’s birth, which samples her cries throughout the record.

‘Glory’ debuted at number 78 on Billboard’s R&B chart.

Jay-Z has two things to celebrate this week. One being the birth of his firstborn daughter Blue Ivy Carter, and the second being his recent announcement that he has signed on to be an investor and the official face of Duracell Powermat wireless power through a deal with Proctor & Gamble.

Beyonce & Jay-Z’s dramatic 9 month “baby watch” finally came to a climatic end this past Saturday night (January 7th), when the “Crazy In Love” singer secretly gave birth to “Blue Ivy Carter” inside a  NYC hospital.

Music royalty Beyonce and Jay-Z welcomed the baby girl in a private wing of Lenox Hill Hospital, the E! network reported Sunday.

Music mogul Russell Simmons also confirmed the arrival of the bundle of joy, tweeting “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.”

A very pregnant Beyoncé had checked into the upper East Side hospital on Friday night under the name “Ingrid Jackson,” a hospital staffer told the Daily News.

Beyoncé and her hip-hop hubby, whose real name is Shawn Carter, rented out the hospital’s entire fourth floor for $1.3 million, the employee said.

On Saturday night, people were seen bringing bags of takeout and a dozen bottles of red wine onto the heavily guarded hospital wing.

After 11 p.m., even doctors and nurses were barred from entering the fourth floor, prompting one doc to complain that he had patients to see.

In an effort to keep images from leaking to the public, hospital workers placed tape over security cameras and are forcing employees to turn in cell phones when they arrive for their shifts, a source said.

Several security guards were spotted patrolling the perimeter of the hospital Saturday night.

A Lenox Hill staffer confirmed that a patient named Ingrid Jackson was in a “labor room.”

Reps for the power couple did not return requests for comment.

 Occupy Wall Street protesters are taking a MAJOR shot at the Jiggaman with their latest work of art.

About two weeks ago, Hip Hop mogul Jay-Z came out in full support of the Occupy Wall Street movement by releasing a line of T-Shirts via his Rocawear clothing line that read “Occupy All Streets”.  However, the shirts didn’t sit too well with the powers-at-be over at “OWS” (Occupy Wall Street for my slow readers) once it became public knowledge that Mr. Carter would not be donating the proceeds of the shirts to any cause other than the thickening of his own pockets.  And as a big F*** You to the Rocantion CEO, a sculpture was completed by artist Daniel Edwards. The piece depicts Jay-Z on the bottom, wearing a money sign chain, with Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, Scrooge McDuck, and Richie Rich sitting atop. Check out what Daniel had to say about the sculpture:

“I think Jay-Z has made himself a face of [the] Wall Street that Occupiers are protesting against,” said Edwards. “Maybe Jay-Z is striving to be in the one percent? Which is why I chose the composition of a totem pole because I thought it would resemble the number one. Rap stars who turn ‘Scrooge’ have to suffer some damage to their street credibility.”

Wowww….talk about holding a grudge. Do you guys think this sculpture was warranted???
