Last week, former NFL star Chad Johnson found himself in a Florida jail cell after he slapped his attorney on the ass during a recent probation violation hearing stemming from his infamous battery case involving his ex-wife, reality star Evelyn Lozada. Johnson pleaded no contest to the battery charges and was ordered to serve probation which was set to end next month. In his in-depth cover story for the new issue of GQ magazine, Hip Hop’s golden boy, Drake, opens up about wanting to sit down man-to-man with his musical nemesis Chris Brown, his various critics, and his current thoughts on love.

It’s particularly interesting to note that in the cover story, titled “How To Drake It In America,” Drizzy also reveals that despite being a rapper, he has absolutely no desire to sleep around with random women. ( Crazy, right?).

On refusing to sleep around
You know the way fighters don’t f-ck before the fight? Sometimes I feel like I’m so focused on training my body and getting my mind right to create this album that sex isn’t one of my main priorities. If someone is around that I know and trust, I’m down. But I’m not going to end up with some stranger at this party.

On love
[Will Smith said] It’s not about wanting anymore, you need that person. Hearing that, I don’t know if I’ve ever felt that way…I’ve made a lot of music about love being the only thing I’m missing. I think this is the first album I’ve made saying, ‘I’m okay, I’m enjoying it right now.’ Maybe this is my time to grind it out, make a run for it, and add some memories with my boys.

On other rappers criticizing him:
You notice they don’t criticize the music itself, though…I’m okay with that.

On the Chris Brown drama:
I hear he has everything he could want now. I don’t want my name to be synonymous with that guy’s name. I really don’t. I wish we could sit down just like you and me are right now, and talk it out man-to-man. But that’s not going to happen. I’m not confrontational, but if someone challenges, I’m not going to back down. If I think about it too much, I feel it wrapping around my foot, like I get a feeling it could end really badly…Like, it gets really dark.

On “Started From The Bottom”
I think a lot of people wish their favorite rapper wrote it—as if a song like that should be gangster—but I was the one who wrote it, and everyone has their bottom.

As for my whole story, I wouldn’t change a thing. I’ve told bits and pieces of it—and I’ll tell more. Maybe because I had friends who grew up in the hood, I could have acted like I had, too, and perpetrated a different lifestyle, and it would be eating away at me because it wouldn’t be the truth. I’m actually here in front of you living the truth. I wake up in the morning and my heart is light, man. It’s not heavy. I don’t have skeletons in the closet on their way out. This is my real age, my real name, my real past, and I’m good with that.

Last week , popular rapper 2 Chainz was robbed at gun point in San Fransico just hours before he was set to perform at KMEL’s Summer Jam. 2 Chainz  initially denied the robbery reports, but after visual evidence of the tragic event recently surfaced online, Chainz is suddenly switching gears and is ready to admit what really went down.

Chainz tells Atlanta’s Hot 107.9

“I saw the gun first. It was like a .357. It was so heavy he couldn’t really hold it. The gun was so big. That’s what made me take off running.”

“When I went into the street, there was another dude with a whole ‘nother gun. That’s when I knew it wasn’t like an episode of Punk’d. I was like this is real…I had bullet fragments in my hair…I think he thought he shot me.”

Kim Kardashian has given birth to a baby daughter, Us Weekly can confirm. The E! reality star welcomed the tot with beau, Kanye West, by her side at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in West Hollywood, Calif. Originally due July 11, the star couple’s new bundle of joy arrived a bit early, and as a special (early!) Father’s Day gift for West.

“Kim had her baby,” a hospital source tells Us exclusively. “She’s five weeks early. Kim got sick last night and had the baby early.”

The source added, “They’re all doing great and amazing!”

Congrats to the newly minted parents…
