ESQUIRE: Who do you think the next president will be?

CLINTON: I think Barack Obama will be the next president. I think he will win. Because I think that whatever feelings the American people have about their own conditions and however much they may wish he had moved more quickly, I think that they will conclude that it takes a long time to get out of the kind of economic distress we were in and that his direction and policies are more likely to move us out of that than if they give the White House and the Congress to a party that will give them more of what they just had.

I think that the rapid decrease in popularity of the Republican governors in places like Florida and Ohio and Wisconsin will help him.

It shows you how inexact the voting process is, and how people vote for candidates based on some fleeting rhetorical impression or their sense of the connection between that election and their own circumstances, rather than listening to what candidates actually say they intend to do. Because every one of those governors is just doing what they said they were gonna do.

But I think that the president will win. He’ll be able to talk about the difference in the auto industry between when he took office and the way it is now. I think he’ll be able to talk about much more progress in certain sectors of the economy, and he’s going to have a very strong national-security record to run on, so he won’t be vulnerable there. In fact, the Republican may be more vulnerable than he is there. So even though the conditions of the country are difficult, I expect him to win. And I also think, based on what happened in 2008, that once he gets an opponent in the general election, I think except for Fox and the conservative outlets, the media will tilt back toward him. The coverage won’t be as anodyne and evenhanded as it has been.

Looks like Academy Award winning actor Matt Damon isn’t too impressed with our nation’s current administration. A fact evidenced by the comments Damon recently made during an interview with Elle magazine.

Peep a few excerpts from the candid interview below:

“I’ve talked to a lot of people who worked for Obama at the grassroots level. One of them said to me, ‘Never again. I will never be fooled again by a politican,’” Damon told the publication. “You know, a one-term president with some balls who actually got stuff done would have been, in the long run of the country, much better.”

The “Bourne Supremacy” star also touched on the Occupy Wall Street movement, claiming the commander-in-chief’s lack of leadership has helped contribute to Americans’ overall unrest with the current government.

“If the Democrats think that they didn’t have a mandate — people are literally without any focus or leadership, just wandering out into the streets to yell right now because they’re pissed off,” said Damon, 41. “Just imagine if they had a leader.”

This isn’t the first time Damon, who was once a staunch Obama supporter, ripped his fangs into the President. Back in March, Damon, who briefly Harvard University, told CNN’s Piers Morgan that Obama had misinterpreted his mandate and was deeply disappointed in the President.

President Obama referred to the interview and  took a jab back at Damon back during May’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

“I’ve even let down my key core constituency: movie stars,” the President joked. “Just the other day, Matt Damon — I love Matt Damon, love the guy — Matt Damon said he was disappointed in my performance. Well, Matt, I just saw ‘The Adjustment Bureau,’ so — right back atcha, buddy.”

Ouch! Obama doesn’t play fair lol…..(good one though)…

Yup…you read right folks. According to 2012 presidential candidate Newt Gingrich, the less well off in this country have absolutely no sense of what it takes to make an honest  ”hard earned” buck.

Responding to controversial comments he  made about child labor in late November at Harvard University, Newt Gingrich today told a crowd in Des Moines, Iowa, that children in poor neighborhoods have “no habits of working and nobody around them who works.”

Gingrich was asked by an audience member to clarify the comments he made last month in which  he called the current child labor laws  ”stupid” and would replace janitors with schoolchildren to work in the community school.

“They have no habit of showing up on Monday and staying all day or the concept of  ’I do this and you give me cash,’ unless it’s illegal,” Gingrich said.

And this douchebag really expects folks to elect him as our nation’s next commander-in-chief??? Surrrrreeeee…
