Is The Law Above Justice? Where is The Justice For Oscar Grant

Oakland, California is in a state of utter shock and outrage over the (completely absurd) Oscar Grant verdict.Oscar Grant, a 25year old unarmed black man(important part) was senselessly killed last year after being shot in the back by Oakland police officer, Johannes Mehserle, while he was laying handcuffed face first on the ground.  Why the officer felt the need to have his gun drawn  on a man who was already restrained and handcuffed is the real question we should be asking.

Late Thursday evening, jurors in the case against Johannes Mehserle, found the trigger happy officer guilty of involuntary manslaughter. The officer faces a possible sentence of 2-4 years. Two-four years???! Is that all this man’s life was worth? He was an unarmed victim of police brutality who lost his life for no apparent reason and yet his murderer only receives a measly  TWO-FOUR YEARS??!  Bullshit!  NFL star Plaxico Burress received two years for simply shooting himself and  yet this “officer”who murdered an unarmed civilian manages to receive the same amount of time? Where is the justice?  And yet they wonder what drives some people to riot, gee I wonder why.

Video & pictures of Grant’s family and outraged supporters displaying their anger over the controversial verdict below.  Straight B.S., when will it ever change.
