Last year she was a unknown college graduate just enjoying life, these days shes the  Hollywood overnight superstar who had us all singing her praises while watching her debut film Precious , now actress Gabourey Sidibe can add EBONY covergirl to her long list of new accomplishments as she graves the cover of the upcoming  March issue of the historical magazine. Gabby couldn’t have been featured in a better issue seeing as this issue is one where the magazine explores the power of self image .

Inside the new issue, the newly minted Hollywood starlet discusses how working with Golden Globe winning actress Mo’Nique and director Lee Daniels changed her life, but reaffirms that at the end of the day it was her strength that gave her the courage to be herself and not worry about public opinon.

“I wake up with myself every morning, so the only opinion that really matters is mine,” states Sidibe.
